The Winona Cotter H.S. Marching Band is among 21 marching bands scheduled to appear in the Vikingland Band Festival parade marching championship in Alexandria, Minnesota. The 23rd annual parade will travel down Broadway Street beginning at 1:30 PM on Sunday, June 24.
This marks the band's 18th appearance in the Festival, where it has won numerous awards as Class Champion and for its color guard, wind section and percussion section. In 2006, Cotter's Band earned the Class Champion Flag for the third consecutive year, which also earned them the right to keep the flag. Over the years, only 8 bands have earned the right keep a Vikingland Band Festival Class Champion Flag.
