Fur Trading Introduction

Join the naturalist for a short slide show presentation and discussion on the early fur trade culture of Perrot State Park.

Saturday, June 30th

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Fur Trade Camp!

Swing by the Nature Center area and talk to fur traders Phil & Tom as they do wood & pipestone carving and have their trade blankets set up!

2:00 pm

Junior Ranger Activity!

6:00 pm

Fur Trader Hike

Come take a short hike and learn how the fur traders and other ancient cultures lived off of what was supplied to them in the woods!

8:00 pm

Life of a Soldier

Join Fur Trader Phil as he does a presentation on what life of a soldier was like in the past.

Sunday, July 1st

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Junior Ranger Activity!

All Day:

Rent a canoe at Perrot State Park Headquarters (only $10 for 4 hours!) and take the Voyageur's Canoe Trail! Teresa the Naturalist will be paddling about if you have any questions on flora and fauna that you see!
