Winona Health is offering a free Community Health Talk: The Balancing Act, presented by Kathryn Amundson, Ph.D., a counselor with Winona Health Psychiatric & Counseling Services. The program will be Wednesday, July 25 from 6 - 7 p.m. in the B.A. Miller Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona.
"Women multi-task because they can," noted Amundson. "They're adept at handling the demands of busy lives. A woman can make dinner while she simultaneously staples the hem on her daughter's dance costume, holds a teleconference with her son's teacher, and feeds the dog. At the end of the day, she wonders why she is so exhausted." This program is designed to help women learn how to stress less and enjoy more.
There is no charge, but seating is limited so registration is requested. For more information or to register online go to winonahealth.org/health_talks or call Jennifer Olson, Winona Health community relations coordinator, at 507.457.4161, or via e-mail: jolson@winonahealth.org.
