Join us Thursday, July 26th, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Com learn how to make authentic Hmong dishes, and then sit down with us as we share in this rich culture. Please note that participants must sign up at the East Recreation Center previous to the event!
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR EMPLOYEMENT
The Winona Park & Recreation Department is now accepting applications for employment for the September 1 through December 31 term. Positions available are Football Coaches and Recreation Center Supervisors. Stop in at the Park & Recreation office or go online at www.cityofwinona-mn.com to find an application. The deadline to turn in applications to the Park & Recreation office is August 14, 2007.
BOB WELCH AQUATIC CENTER
The Aquatic Center is now open! Daily hours are noon to 7 p.m. Dollar Day will be the 2nd Friday of each month and Pay the Temp Day will be on the 3rd Friday of each month. If you have not purchased your yearly membership by now, do so by going to the Park & Recreation Department.

MSF - STATE AND DISTRICT SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT TEAMS
All teams that submitted their tournament entry fees for state and district tournaments have received berths. As soon as the MSF-ASA sends us the tournament information and pairings, the manager of your teams will be called to pick up your pairing packet containing a copy of your official roster, which is then hand-delivered to the tournament director prior to playing your first game on the day of the tournament. We suggest that if you have not made hotel reservations that you do so now and not wait until you receive your pairing packet. Usually by that time the motels are booked solid. (If you need a list of motels, check with our office, and we may have a listing for out of town motels from previous years.) Special Note: The tournament pairings will not be sent to our office until one or two weeks before your specific tournament.
ADULT SOFTBALL MANAGERS
If you are a manager of a softball team and have a change of address, phone number, or if the name of the manager has changed, please make sure that you contact the Park & Recreation office, 507-457-8258, to give us the correct information. We will need to send information out to you and we want to make sure that you are getting the information.
ADULT FALL PROGRAM REGISTRATION NOW OPEN UNTIL AUGUST 6, 2007
Adult Co-Rec. Volleyball, Co-Rec. Kickball and Adult Touch Football League registration is now open until August 6, 2007. All 2006 managers were sent the information. If you were a previous manager and have not received the information or are a new manager interested in putting a team in any of our leagues, stop in at the Winona Park & Recreation office in City Hall or call us at 507-457-8258, and we will give you or send you the information.
ADULT SOFTBALL MAKEUP GAMES - CALL YOUR MANAGER FOR SPECIFICS
There have been various rainout games this summer. The makeup letters have gone out to the managers/umpires. If your manager has not contacted you regarding your specific makeup times, please call your manager. We are sorry for the inconvenience - we cannot control "mother nature."
