Rare & Endangered Species List Updates

Saturday, August 4, 7:00 PM

Even though the blufflands area of Minnesota comprises about 3% of the state's area, it is home to a whopping 43% of the state's rare species. Every ten years or so the State of Minnesota revises its list of protected rare and endangered species, and that process is happening right now. Find out how what changes are under consideration for the rare species of our area and how these adjustments are made.

This program is free and open to the public. The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Hwys 16 & 76 in Houston in Trailhead Park. For more information contact the center at 507-896-4668 or nature@acegroup.cc.
