Farmers Market customer appreciation Saturday (08/15/2007)

The Winona Farmers Market will hold a Customer Appreciation Day Saturday, Aug. 18. Refreshments will be served and live music will be provided by the Silo Serenaders, a unique "kitchen band" singing old-time favorites and featuring instruments such as the kettle, dishpan and "tubba". Customers will have the opportunity to sign up for drawings for "market money" gift certificates. Over 30 vendors from the area sell fresh local produce, meats, baked and canned goods from 7:30 to noon every Sat.and from 2-5 every Wed. at Second and Main Streets in Winona. Current seasonal produce favorites include sweet corn, tomatoes, melons, summer apples and pears.
