"¢At 7 p.m. police executed a search warrant on the 900 block of East Seventh Street. The warrant was issued after a police informant allegedly bought .12 grams of cocaine from Shane Robert Sveum, 27, of Winona. Police said some of the "buy money"¯ used in the controlled buy was inside of Sveum's pants. He was referred to the county attorney for potential third degree sale of a controlled substance charges. He is not in custody.
"¢At 10:33 p.m. police stopped Denver Lee Burch, 70, after a caller reported a drunken driver. He was pulled over in the area of Fourth and McBride streets after he was seen weaving and crossing the center line. He was cited for drunken driving with a blood alcohol content measured at .14 percent.
"¢At 11:15 p.m. police cited Bradley Michael Suchla, 18, for theft, tampering with a motor vehicle, damage to property and underaged drinking. He allegedly broke a window on a van and took sunglasses, a bag of cranberries and a bottle of over-the-counter pain medicine. Two victims found him with the items and restrained him until police arrived. Suchla was taken to the hospital for detox with a blood alcohol content measured at .224 percent.
Thursday, November 29
"¢At 2:30 p.m. police cited Fayrene Rene Deering, 38, of Rollingstone, for allegedly taking $135.41 in items from Wal-Mart.
"¢At 11:15 p.m. police were called to 700 Terrace Drive (Edward's Hall) on a report of an assault. An 18-year-old woman reported that her boyfriend, Jesse Joshua VanBrunt, 21, of Rollingstone, came to her residence and pushed her, leaving a swollen mark on her face. A 19-year-old man came to her defense and punched VanBrunt to the ground. When police arrived VanBrunt was not present. He was found later at his Rollingstone residence and arrested for domestic asssault and fifth degree assault charges.
Heather Jo Sorum, 25, of WInona, was sentenced to three years probation and 110 hours community service after being convicted of the sale of simulated drugs. She sold a fake bag of cocaine to a police informant, which was really full of dried bread. She was also ordered to repay the $100 she made in the drug sale.
Tuesday, Nov. 27
10:34 a.m. - Citizen reported harassing phone calls.
2:40 p.m. - Citizen reported more harassment. Officer contacted suspect and warned them that continued harassment would result in a citation.
5:12 p.m. - Citizen reported harassment was continuing. A citation was issued to the offender for harassing communications and public nuisance/unreasonably annoys.
Wednesday, Nov. 28
3:53 p.m. - Citizen reported a theft of property from their vehicle. It was determined that theft occurred in Winona and needed to be reported to Winona police.
4:20 p.m. - Officer assisted with an harassment complaint that took place in Winona.
Thursday, Nov. 29
11:41 a.m. - Citizen reported a lost wallet.
1:11 p.m. - Officer assisted with a medical response call for a possible overdose attempt. Adult male was transported to hospital.
1:33 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a domestic. An adult male was transported to the LEC for fifth degree domestic assault.
Friday, Nov. 30
1:58 a.m. - Officer received report of a subject walking in the middle of the road and wearing dark clothes. Officer checked area and subject was walking on a sidewalk.
6:10 a.m. - Officer issued citation for expired motor vehicle registration.
