Winona will be getting a new restaurant soon. Butch, Lynne, and Tim Beier will be opening a new Ground Round Grill and Sports Bar in the current Beier's Restaurant building at Highway 14/61 in early March.
The new Ground Round Grill and Sports Bar will offer a menu that will include many Beier's favorites such as steaks, seafood, walleye, shrimp and prime rib.
At the new restaurant the guest will have a choice of an action packed sports bar with 14 high definition TVs, or a more quiet, comfortable, casual dining room in which to enjoy their favorite cocktail and "new" Ground Round menu. The new restaurant will seat between 188 and 200 people.
Current Beier's restaurant gift certificates will be honored by the new operation.
The new restaurant will be managed by Tim Beier, along with assistant general manager Paul Goodfellow, who each have 15 years experience in the food industry. Beverage manager Paula Bronk rounds out the management team.
After 25 years of service to this area, Beier's Restaurant will close its doors in early February and reopen totally refurbished as a Ground Round Grill and Sports Bar in early March.
