WSHS will be handing out 2008-2009 registration information to current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students in their homeroom on Tuesday, January 22, 2008.
On Thursday, January 24,2008 in the WSHS concourse, from 4-7 p.m., there will be sessions every half hour for parents and students to ask teachers and counselors questions about registration and about the courses being offered for the next school year.
Then, completed registration forms will be due the week of January 28-February 1, 2008. At that time, students will register online for their courses for the 2008-2009 school year.
Some important things to consider when registering for classes are:
"˘ When deciding placement in courses, students and parents should consider standardized test scores, future education plans, past performance and teacher/counselor recommendation.
"˘Students may select courses from any department if they meet the prerequisites stated.
"˘ Courses requested by students determines the number of courses offered and the teachers hired. Once requests are completed and schedules established, class reselection may not be viable. Students are strongly encouraged to pick their classes thoughtfully and very carefully.
