WH Celebrates Women’ event April 26 (03/19/2008)
Winona Health will host a special morning for women to learn, laugh and relax. Winona Health Celebrates Women will be Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Kryzsko Commons East Hall on the Winona State University Campus.

"In general, women devote so much time and energy to caring for others," noted Jennifer Olson, community relations coordinator for Winona Health. "This is a special morning designed to provide women an opportunity to devote a little time to self-renewal while thinking about their own health and well-being."

The morning begins with breakfast and keynote speaker, Katy Smith, a certified trainer and licensed teacher. Katy's down-to-earth yet uplifting and lively talks have touched the hearts and opened the minds of people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences.

After the keynote presentation, healthcare providers from Winona Health and Family Medicine of Winona will provide health screenings and information at booths, along with educational sessions highlighting topics for women such as advances in women's healthcare, preventing heart disease, treating varicose veins, managing menopause symptoms, breast heath and maintaining good mental health.

Registration for this morning event, which includes breakfast, keynote presentation, healthcare screenings and educational sessions, is $15 through April 18 or $20 after April 18 and at the door (as space is available). For more information and to register, please visit www.winonahealth.org/women or call 507.457.4161.
