Week one is finally here and it is time to get you thinking about who should and should not be in your line up this Sunday. Let us start in Detroit.
This year there a few changes surrounding Jon Kitna that and they may be responsible for his lack of fantasy love in 2008. The pass happy Mike Martz is now looking to maim quarterbacks in San Francisco and a commitment to the running game is on the docket for the Motor City Kitties.
However, it is the one thing that has not changed - the presence of both Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams – that will make him a valuable spot starter for the savvy fantasy owner.
Look for Kitna and company to torch a very young and rebuilding Atlanta secondary.
Other must-starts are Joey Galloway at New Orleans and Brett Favre versus Miami.
Next, starting Chad Johnson (or Ocho Cinco or whatever) against the Ravens would be crazy. Not only is he sporting a bad ankle and a torn labrum in his shoulder but he does not perform well versus the Ravens; only two touchdowns in his last five outings.
Other bench dwellers; Vince Young versus Jacksonville and anyone in a Chicago uniform versus Indianapolis.
