Douglas E. Erickson, 42, of Arcadia, WI, died Sunday, January 11, 2009, at his residence in Arcadia.
He was born September 21, 1966, in Whitehall, WI, to Ervin and Harriet (Rhude) Erickson. On December 3, 1995, Doug married Michelle Graves Speltz at Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia. They later divorced. He owned and operated Dan’s Bar in Arcadia and was a member of the Tavern League and Sportsman’s Club.
He is survived by his mother: Harriet Erickson of Arcadia; three daughters: Kaylee and Morgan Erickson, both of Arcadia and stepdaughter, Lindsay Speltz of Winona, MN; three sons: Aaron Andre of Marshfield, WI, Corey Erickson of Arcadia and stepson, Chris Speltz of Winona; half-sister: Sonia (Waine) Doenier of Independence, WI; uncles and aunt: Harry Rhude, Eddie Erickson, Merle Erickson and Florence Urbick; relatives: Richard and Beverly Waldera of Whitehall, and Benjamin and Sharon Ringstad of Whitehall; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Ervin, on July 5, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Arcadia, with Liz Albertson officiating. Burial will be at Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery, Arcadia.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.
Casket bearers will be Donnie Bjorge, Daniel Gilbertson, David Gilbertson, Larry Gilbertson, Chris Speltz and Corey Erickson.
The Wozney-Killian Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
