The WMS 6th Grade Orchestra and the combined 7th and 8th Grade orchestras participated in the MN Middle Level Orchestra Festival in Stillwater on February 20th.
Their performance received overall “Superior” ratings from each judge, with comments including, “You play very well. You have a big, consistent sound and you are very steady,” “Very nice with bowings--it is great to watch and sounds great when everyone is in the same part of the bow,” and “Excellent stage presence--Nice job!”
Annual orchestra trips are made possible through the generous support of parent chaperones and the financial contributions made through student fundraising and Strings in Motion.
