Cotter basketball teams in Region One play-offs (04/01/2009)
The Winona Cotter 5th and 6th grade boys’ teams will play in the Region One Minnesota Youth Basketball Play offs this month.

For Region 1, the 5th and 6th grade boys will play at Kingsland schools this Saturday, April 4, the 7th-8th-9th grade boys will play in Rochester Saturday, April 11, and all girls’ teams in grades 5-9 will play off in Rochester Sunday, April 19.

All teams will play three or four games at each regional play off site as teams vie for the regional championships and a berth in the Pacesetter Minnesota Youth Basketball State Championships in June.

Teams that only lose one game are invited to the Pacesetter MIT in June, and teams that win two or more games are invited to play in the Pacesetter Open in July. Teams may enter in more than one region.

Over 700 teams from eight regions will enter the play offs through April 25 with the state championships held in June at the College of St. Benedict in St. Cloud. Pacesetter Sports has been conducting this statewide championship system since 1993.

For further information and a complete schedule of all regional play-offs statewide, check the Pacesetter Sports website at www.psmbbn.com or call Pacesetter at 320-243-7460.
