Area sportsmen and women are invited to attend a special event benefiting Ducks Unlimited this weekend.
“A Sportsman’s Night Out” banquet sponsored by the recently organized Winona State University Ducks Unlimited Chapter will be held Thursday, April 30th, at the Elks Lodge in Goodview. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The event is for all persons who enjoy the outdoors and want to preserve our hunting and fishing heritage.
In addition to enjoying an all you can eat menu, persons purchasing tickets will become a member of Ducks Unlimited and those wearing a camo or blaze orange shirt will have his or her name entered into a drawing for a gun.
Attendees can participate in various raffles that offer a variety of prizes for the Waterfowler, Deer Hunter, Turkey Hunter, Pheasant Hunter, and for Fisherman.
Goose decoys, guns, knives, layout blinds, trail cams, rods and reels, optics, game cleaning kits, and various calls are just some of the prizes to be raffled.
Tickets are $25.00 which can be purchased at the door Thursday night or in advance by calling Josh at 715-688-9698, or on-line at www.ducksevents.org.
Proceeds raised at Ducks Unlimited events support DU’s conservation programs that provide critical habitat for ducks, pheasants, deer and fish.
