The southwest Wisconsin farm made famous by Ben Logan in his book, “The Land Remembers” will be open to the public for a tour on Saturday May 16 at 10 a.m.
Mississippi Valley Conservancy, which helped Logan put a conservation easement on the farm, and Rod Nilsestuen, Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection, will honor Logan in a brief ceremony to be followed by a guided tour of “Seldom Seen Farm” near Gays Mills. In addition, there will be a book signing opportunity with Ben Logan.
Directions to the farm: From Gays Mills, head south on State Highway 131 for approximately 3.5 miles. Turn right onto County Road S for 1.8 miles, and turn left onto Zintz Road. Continue for about 2 miles to the driveway of the residence, on the north side of the road, at 51834 Zintz Road. Parking area is limited.
