Collection for Haiti earthquake (01/17/2010)

As the official relief and development agency of the U.S. Catholic Church, Catholic Relief Services is on the ground and already reaching out to the victims. CRS has made an initial investment of $5 million and will need our help to continue their work in the coming weeks. When we know more about additional ways in which parishioners can be of help we will post them on our website. You may also refer parishioners to the CRS website atwww.crs.org.
The Diocese of Winona is participating in this effort. Anyone of any faith may drop off donations at Catholic parishes. Make checks payable to the local parish and earmark them “Haiti.” Or, go directly to www.crs.org to donate online.
