Law enforcement agents searched a residence in Indian Creek in Buffalo County last week in a raid they’re calling the largest drug arrest in Buffalo County history.
The residence, located in the town of Milton, yielded 31 pounds of vacuum sealed marijuana, over $61,000 in cash, two vehicles believed to have been used in the distribution of drugs and several guns, according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department.
According to information released Friday, the search followed two arrests on Wednesday in Fountain City, in which two men were arrested after they allegedly took part in a delivery of more than a half pound of “high grade marijuana.”
Robert E. Linder, 59, of La Crosse, was arrested in Fountain City and charged with manufacture or delivery of THC (a chemical found in marijuana) less than 200 grams and being party to a crime. Also arrested in Fountain City was Johnathan O. Severtson, 33, of Edgerton, Wis., charged with manufacture or delivery of less than 200 grams of THC.
After those arrests, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Deputies and West Central Drug Task Force agents executed a search warrant at the Indian Creek residence, where Thomas K. Magnusson, 66, of Fountain City, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver more than 10,000 grams of THC and maintaining a property as a drug house, according to police. He was reportedly being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
According to information released Friday, the arrests and search warrant were the result of an ongoing drug investigation in conjunction with the La Crosse Police Department.
