Becoming smoke free is one of the best ways to improve your health. Winona Health’s next Smoking Cessation program runs Thursday evenings, 6 – 7:15 p.m., September 2 through September 23, on the Winona Health campus at 855 Mankato Avenue.
Lynn Sprain, MS, RCEP, exercise physiologist and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation supervisor at Winona Health, will facilitate the program.
“We provide resources, encouragement and support to help those who want to become tobacco free,” said Sprain. “People don’t always manage to quit the first time they try, but with each attempt, they may come closer to their goal.”
Winona Health’s Smoking Cessation Program will:
Help individuals recognize and understand their reasons for smoking
Cover a variety of benefits to quitting
Provide ways to handle physical and emotional withdrawal symptoms
Share many tips and techniques for becoming and remaining smoke free
Provide a supportive atmosphere for you to ask questions and get helpful information
Cost for the four-week program is just $30. For more information or to register, call 507.474.3324.
