Have you noticed all the reports and in some cases witnessed the awful disruption of nature lately? Floods, droughts, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires and the like, often followed by the statement “the worst on record.”
I do believe God is trying to tell us something, but are we listening?
Have you noticed how the wars go on and on? The military are paying the greatest price with their lives. It’s not so much the cost of ammunition, but human lives being snuffed out forever.
Today’s newspaper says all but 50,000 U.S. troops will head for home by the end of August from Iraq. Big deal, huh? With another 90,000 present in Afghanistan, plus others scattered around the world, does that leave any right here in our own country to protect it?
Prayers, not bombs are the answer.
If only everyone would seek and practice the virtue of humility - it affects each one of us, our families and the world.
Have you noticed the condition of the economy? I’m sure we all have as in some way our lives have been disturbed and suffered from the loss of money, homes, jobs, etc., but most of all our trust in God. Seek first the kingdom of God, vs. material wealth.
Have you noticed all the vicious murders taking place? The fifth commandment “Thou shalt not kill” goes unheeded, even babies in the womb with the world’s permission, but not God’s.
