This is being written to all of you who think you have the greatest love for your husband, wife, children, friend, oh yes, and many of you for your pets - dogs, cats, or whatever pet you might have.
Well guess again. You have no idea of the kind of love I’m talking about, so I’ll be telling you.
That love is only the love of God for all who will believe in His Son who He sent to this earth over 2,000 years ago. He told Him to go and die for all of you even when you might have said, “I don’t believe in all that stuff you people are always telling us about Jesus coming and dying for all of our sins.” Yes, He died for you too!
So really think about it. Who else would do something like that? And who else would send His son to die for you? Could you send your son or daughter to die for someone you loved? I’m thinking very hard about this and do not believe I could do that. Of course I’m just human like you. But to think about having our child (male or female) put to death for someone else.
The Bible is God’s love letter to us who will read this and believe in Jesus Christ who died on the cross for all of us. He told us in these scriptures how much He loves us and wants us to be saved and live with Him in eternity.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Jesus told Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council, in John 3:3 “I tell you the truth, unless a man is born again he can not see the kingdom of God.”
Jesus also said in John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can get to the Father except through Me.”
God is giving us the way to Heaven and to Him through Jesus Christ and being born again. To be born again and get you to the Father, we pray the sinner’s prayer. We all sin and have need of forgiveness.
Dear Jesus, I pray for forgiveness of sins, for salvation to live with you in eternity, and Jesus please come into my heart and guide me each day for the rest of my life, that I may love you as you first loved me. Amen.
Yes, I know, you are telling me, “I am a good person. I go to church every Sunday and I pray my prayers every day.” That is wonderful. Keep on doing that. Also remember that Jesus died for you on the cross along with anyone else who will believe in Him, that no one has to die and go to hell and suffer eternal damnation in those flames with the devil. Yes, the devil and hell are for eternity just as Jesus and God are for eternity as well.
My prayers are for all who will take these words to your heart and not have to answer to Jesus at the judgment seat when He asks you, “Why didn’t you believe that article in the Post in August of 2010?” He will say, “I know you not, begone. I will see you no more.”
