December 13

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will meet  December 13, at 5:30 p.m.  at the Cathedral  in Holy Family Hall. There will be a Christmas social for prospective new and regular members.  Members are asked to bring an appetizer. To share for lunch and a gift for Birthright.  Members can also bring white socks for Sharing and Caring Hands located in Minneapolis.

The Ruskin Study Club Christmas Party will be held at the home of Judy Richter on December 13. A program by Joyce Woodworth and John Borman will be presented. Members are reminded to inform the hostess if unable to attend.

December 15

Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will hold their regular monthly board meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, at the Ag Service Center in Lewiston.

The regular monthly meeting of the Hiawatha Valley Education District Board of Directors is scheduled for Wednesday, December 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Hiawatha Valley Education District, 1410 Bundy Blvd., Winona.

December 16

A meeting of the Winona/Bytow Sister City Association will be held on Thursday, December 16, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bytow Room on the first floor of City Hall. Those interested in our Sister City relationship, or those who have been a visitor to our Sister City please come and share with us your recent experiences.

December 20

Winona Women’s Shrine Auxiliary will meet on December 20, at 11:30 a.m. at Westfield Golf Club.  Dues will be collected $5.00.  Winter weather policy there will be no meeting, if Winona schools are closed.  Cards will be played.  Menu is baked ham, jams, green beans, tossed salad, roll and butter.  Dessert will be a surprise by Chef Todd.  Price $8.00. December 21

The Stockton, Rollingstone, Minnesota City Watershed District board meeting will be held at the Stockton Community Center at 2:00 p.m. December 21st.

Overeater’s Anonymous meets Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. at 1717 Service Drive ( Faith Lutheran Church). Many have found a solution.

Al-Anon Family Group Thursdays, 7-8 p.m., St. Augustine Room, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 360 Main Street. A 12-step fellowship for families of problem drinkers. 452-4445 for more information.

TOPS MN #263 Winona- New members welcome. Learn how to lose weight  and keep it off. Wednesdays. Weigh-in between 8:00 a.m. - 8:50 a.m. Meeting/program 9:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. Callista Court, 1455 W. Broadway.

NAMI Connection:  A Mental Illness Support Group. We meet every Monday evening. A self-help group for people recovering from mental illness is a place to find acceptance, support and friendship. If you’re hurting after a divorce, you need the Rebuilding Program, open to men and women, not affiliated with any church or religious group. The group meets the first and third Sunday of every month from 6-8 p.m. at Central Lutheran Church, 259 West Wabasha Street, Winona. Mental Illness:  Family to Family Support Group meetings are the second Monday of the month from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Winona Health – Parkview Conference Room. The next meeting will be Monday, December 13.  No fee just walk in and join us.  Enter the hospital’s main door, turn right, at the hallway take another right.  It’s the second door on the left.
