One person is upset at the sight of a cross, so let’s remove all the crosses in America. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset hearing Merry Christmas!, so let’s only allow people to say Happy Holidays! Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset by the Pledge of Allegiance, so let’s not allow the Pledge of Allegiance to be recited in the classroom. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset about saying a prayer in school, so let’s take prayer from the classrooms in America. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset about the mere mention of God or Jesus Christ, so let’s not allow anyone to mention God or Jesus Christ. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset about proselytizing the message of salvation to those who are lost, so let’s not allow the lost to be told the truth of Scripture. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset about the preaching of God’s word, so let’s not allow the preaching of God’s word. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset about mentioning God or Jesus Christ at graduation, so let’s not allow this to continue. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset about praying before a sporting event, so let’s not allow this to continue. Let’s give in and appease the one.
One person is upset upon hearing Happy Thanksgiving!, so let’s just say Happy Turkey Day! Let’s give in and appease the one.
Here is an example. Hundreds upon hundreds of people go into a store and all but one person says, Merry Christmas! Then the manager of the store decides not to allow any of his or her employees to say Merry Christmas! to anyone. This makes sense? No! This decision is absolutely nonsensical! After all, who is providing for the manager’s livelihood? Isn’t it the hundreds that come into his or her store? One person’s purchases are never going to keep the manager’s business afloat. Shouldn’t the manager of any store be concerned about pleasing the hundreds that are coming into his or her place of business? Of course. It couldn’t be more clear. Appeasing one person, while offending hundreds, is senseless. Should this be so difficult for all business folk to grasp? It couldn’t be any simpler, yet many business owners continue to offend the masses.
Has the appeasement of one been good for America? A resounding no! We are no longer a nation going right; we are now a nation going wrong. It is never wise to appease the one (getting rid of that which is good), while angering everyone else. There will always be those who will oppose anything that stands for what is right and good, but we should never give in to their wicked demands. No, the appeasement of one is never good.
