LLL of Winona is a non-profit group that provides mother-to-mother breastfeeding support in the Winona/Goodview area, and also southeastern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin. The group invites mothers of nursing children and mothers-to-be to its monthly meetings. Mothers are welcome to bring nursing infants and non-separating toddlers.
The group’s next meeting is Saturday, February 5, from 10:30 – 12:00 at the First Congregational Church, located at the corner of Broadway and Johnson, in Winona. This month’s topic is the advantages of breastfeeding. For a preview of the meeting, check out the Baby Connections blog at http://babyconnections.wordpress.com/.
Participants at meetings have the option to check out the group’s lending library, which offers books and DVDs on breastfeeding and parenting topics. A variety of baby carriers are also available to try, and some can be borrowed for up to a month. One-on-one support from a La Leche League Leader is also offered.
