Master Naturalist course at Whitewater State Park (02/02/2011)

A ten-week course to teach area nature enthusiasts about the natural history of Minnesota’s hardwoods region will take place at Whitewater State Park beginning Wednesday, March 16, 2011. The Master Naturalist Course, a collaborative program through the University of Minnesota Extension Service and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, will run Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 9pm through May 25th, with two Saturday, all day field days scheduled for April 9th and 30th.
There is a $200 cost to register for the Master Naturalist course. A limited number of scholarships are available. Registration for this course is done through the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program at www.minnesotamasternaturalist.org or by calling 888-241-4532.
