Children ages 6 through 13 will discover the fun and excitement of fishing through the ice at the Ice Fishing Day Clinic to be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Lake Park Lodge, Lake Winona, Winona, Minnesota. This event, sponsored by the Friends of the Refuge Headwaters and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service will pair kids with experienced anglers to assist them with a hands-on ice fishing experience. Participants will also learn about native mussels and fish identification.
Bait, fishing rods and a warm lunch will be provided.
All youth participants MUST PRE-REGISTER. Registration is limited so sign up your children right away at the following location:
