The Winona Area Crime Stoppers Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, February 22, at Timbers Restaurant in Winona. The meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. and is open to the public.
February 23
The regular monthly meeting of the Hiawatha Valley Education District Board of Directors is scheduled for Wednesday, February 23, at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will be held in the conference room at the Hiawatha Valley Education District, 1410 Bundy Blvd., Winona.
March 3
Cathedral’s Young At Heart group will meet on March 3, starting with a 12:10 p.m. Mass for those who wish to attend. It will be followed by a lunch of baked cod with rice blend, buttered cooked carrots, cole slaw, roll, lemon meringue pie and a beverage. The cost of the meal is $3.00. After lunch humorist Bessie Mae Miller (the shoulder pad lady) will present a laugh filled program and, maybe, some surprises. The Hiawatha Valley Marines will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, at the Winona Area Veterans Center. All Marines and Corpsmen who served with the Marines are encouraged to attend. Members who are not current with their 2011 dues by the time of this meeting will be dropped from the rolls. A representative of the Boy Scout will attend this meeting to discuss the potential for cooperative efforts between HVM and the Boy Scouts in community service projects.
