Friday, February 25

•At 11:20 a.m. police received a report of a lost or stolen laptop. A woman said she thought she remembered putting her Winona State University-issued laptop inside her backpack on February 17 while on campus, but then couldn’t find it. Police said it was a Toshiba laptop.

Monday, February 28

•At 1:25 a.m. police were called to Prentice Hall on a report of an intoxicated male. James Anthony Tucker II, 21, of Burnsville, Minn., was allegedly disorderly and combative with security there and was cited for disorderly conduct and taken to jail. Police said his blood alcohol content was measured at .226 percent.

•At 8:29 p.m. police were called to a residence on the 100 block of East Seventh Street on a report of an extremely intoxicated male who was semi-responsive. Police found Nicholas Patrick Baldwin, 20, of Winona, took him to the hospital and cited him for underaged drinking. His blood alcohol content was measured at .30 percent.

Saturday, February 26

•At 4:08 a.m. police were called to I-90 east of County Road 7 on a report of a vehicle in the ditch. The driver, Shane Roger Sebo, 19, of Dakota, told police he fell asleep while driving and entered the ditch. Police said he appeared intoxicated and was cited for underaged drinking and driving and underaged consumption of alcohol with a blood alcohol content measured at .059 percent.

•At 2:45 a.m. police stopped a vehicle at Sixth and Huff streets for speeding. The driver, Dennis Nanai Simel, 22, of Winona, appeared intoxicated and was cited for fourth degree driving while intoxicated and violating an instruction permit. His blood alcohol content was measured at .14 percent.

•At 12:15 p.m. police responded to a vehicle that had hit a tree in the ditch on County Road 33 south of Altura. Kathleen Sue Ruhoff, 46, of Lewiston, reportedly hit a patch of ice and entered the ditch. She complained of a knee injury and was taken to the hospital by private party.

Sunday, February 27

•At 3:49 a.m. police stopped a vehicle at Highway 61 and 44th Avenue for having an object suspended from the rearview mirror. The driver, Justin James Wieczorek, 20, of Minnesota City, appeared intoxicated and was cited for underaged drinking and driving and minor consumption of alcohol with a blood alcohol content measured at .06 percent.

•At 5:23 p.m. police were called to Elba on a report of a dispute that had occurred earlier in Utica. A 19-year-old woman told police that Theodore James Fitzgerald, 22, of Utica, had pushed her up against a wall in a garage in Utica, hit her in the face and pushed her down. Police said he denied assaulting the woman. He was referred to the county attorney for charges of domestic assault causing fear and domestic assault causing harm. Police said the woman had a mark on her face and a scrape on her arm.
