ĽAt 11:36 p.m. police responded to a 911 hang-up call at the Maplewood Town Homes. Officers observed a vehicle running with two occupants inside near the residence in which the call originated. When the occupants of the vehicle were questioned, police said they detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Both denied smoking the drug initially. One occupant, Kelly Jean Spalding, 28, of Minnesota City, was on probation requiring she abstain from the use of drugs. Police said a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) believed she was under the influence of marijuana and she was arrested on a probation violation.
