Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4, at the Ag Service Center, 400 Wilson Street, Lewiston. This meeting is to discuss options for County/SWCD collaborations and to discuss the 2011 Budget.

The MN LWV Winona Unit is inviting the general public to its Annual Meeting Tuesday, April 5. 2011 at 5:30 pm to 8:30 p.m. at Betty Jo Byoloski’s, 66 Center Street, Winona MN. This invitation is due to the special program by Carol Johnson & Kathy Bonnifield, Citizens for Election Integrity MN. They have recently published a study with recommendations regarding MN election integrity. The Winona Unit is inviting the public to hear about this study and participate in the grass roots discussion on this timely topic. The Winona Unit program begins at 6:45 p.m.
The April meeting of the Sequoia Society will take place Thursday, April 7, at Wanek Hall at the Winona County Historical Society. We will gather at 12:15 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 12:30 p.m. Marlene Mulrooney’s program will feature local photographer Kay Shaw, who will show her photographs of India. The Hiawatha Valley Marines will meet 7:00 p.m. on Thursday 7 April 11 at the Winona Area Veterans Center. All Marines and Corpsmen who served with the USMC are encouraged to attend. Agenda Items will include; involvement with the Boy Scouts, status of flag day donation efforts in support of the Winona Veterans Memorial Park, structure and procedures for HVM’s parade units, and rib dinner fund raiser planned for Sept. 24.
