The Winona Area Widowed Persons will meet May 2, at 7 p.m. at the Winona Senior Friendship Center. There will be a brief business meeting followed by program and lunch. Breakfast is every Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the Country Kitchen. Dinners will be at Timbers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 5, 12 and 26, and the third Thursday, the 19th, they will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Beedles in Centerville, Wis. There will be an informational session for the Winona City Council on Monday, May 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the Masonic Temple Theater located in the upstairs of the Senior Friendship Center, 251 Main Street, to discuss the repairs of the theater space and scenery drops. The Hiawatha Valley Marines will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday May 5, at the Winona Area Veterans Center. All Marines and Corpsmen who served with the USMC are encouraged to attend. Agenda items will include finalization of plans for the Flag Day donations drive in support of the Winona Veteran’s Memorial Park, participation in the Steamboat Days parade, and review of the status of the clean up of the bunker under the band shell.

The Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Partnership Relations Committee will meet on May 9, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) to discuss options/ideas for Winona County and Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District collaborations.
