The Hiawatha Valley Civil War Round Table will meet on Thursday, May 12, at 7:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson St., Winona. Our speaker will be Dan Peterson, who is coming from Faribault, Minn., to give a power-point presentation on some of the major Civil War battlefields. All are invited and refreshments will be served. Winona Women’s Shrine Auxiliary will meet on May 16, at 11:30 a.m. at Westfield Golf Club. Harvest House, a non-profit, non-denominational organization for 50 and getting better, will hold their monthly meeting Wednesday, May 18, at 1:30 p.m. in St. Stanislaus hall. Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. with Father Paul Breza, as celebrant, for those wishing to attend. There will be a business meeting. We will be entertained by harpist Sister Mary Jo Baldus.
