Are you interested in finding fossils that are twice as old as a dinosaur? Meet at the Houston Nature Center to find out about fossils that look like miniature horns, snails, seashells, and Cheerios, then we’ll carpool to a local spot where you can find fossils you can keep. Bring insect repellent and a small container for your fossil finds, and wear long pants and shoes that can get dirty.
This program is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged. The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Hwys 16 & 76 in Houston in Trailhead Park. Call 507-896-4668 or e-mail nature@acegroup.cc for more information.
