Do you know Jesus Christ? He’s the only Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, Second Person of the Blessed Trinity - you know, the Blessed Trinity!
We are all God’s children and He loves us all unconditionally so very much. He doesn’t love me more because I made 1,000 pies or write editorials, it pleases Him but His love doesn’t depend on it. He loves all sinners, murderers, prostitutes, yes, even Bin Laden, and of course, you and I. We have all fallen short of giving God the honor and glory He is so deserving of. He calls to all souls, come my friend snuggle close to my heart. My mercy awaits you. There is no guile or hate in God. God would have died for each of us individually so great is His love, so much does He want each of us to enter into the eternal joy of heaven.
Again let’s all ask ourselves do we know Jesus? Have a personal relationship with Him? I assure you, you will not find such a loving, humbler, forgiving friend as we can have with Jesus. He’s really cool, awesome and great.
Parents, be sure to introduce your children to Jesus at a young tender age when they are so open to this spiritual knowledge. We are most anxious for our little darlings to excel in school, sports, etc., to help them through this world physically to have a good life, preparing them for retirement some day. Of even more importance is teaching them to pray - sharing the word (the Bible) and attending church with them, all in preparation for them to someday retire into their Heavenly Father’s home.
Maybe we have broken our baptismal covenant with God. He calls to all souls wanting to shower His mercy upon us. Even with your last breath I will hear and answer you. Think about the thief on the cross alongside me. He cried out, Lord don’t forget about me. I answered, this very day you’ll be with me in paradise. This man crossed the bridge of (repentance). It’s open to all of us as well. He asks us to be the bearers of love, humility and hope as our way of crossing the bridge onto the highway to heaven.
May I end this with one of my favorite quotes.
If you met me and forget me
You have lost nothing
If you met God and forget
about Him, you have lost
everything.
