Some historian has figured the average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been around 200 years. Nations have always progressed through this sequence:
From Bondage to Spiritual Faith
From Spiritual Faith to Great Courage
From Courage to Liberty
From Liberty to Abundance
From Abundance to Selfishness
From Selfishness to Complacency
From Complacency to Apathy
From Apathy to Dependency
From Dependency to Bondage
The United States will be officially 235 years old on the 4th of July. The Psalms which you find in the middle of your Bible again and again sound the refrain that God notes the nations which will not serve Him and they shall perish. Again and again the Psalms promise “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
This blessing of course can only come to a nation to the extent that its individual citizens possess and worship the God who is the Lord. The individuals, who fear, love and trust in the Lord God above all things, are the real American Patriots and call down His continued Blessings on their Country.
