•At 10:39 a.m. police received a report from a 22-year-old man that a van had been stolen. Police said the resident on County Road 27 said his roommate had left the house, and the van was discovered missing a short while later. The resident reported that the suspect may have also taken $535 in cash and property. Police are investigating.
Friday, July 1
•At 4:19 a.m. police observed a driver at Fifth and Pelzer nearly strike a median while making a turn. The officer then followed the vehicle, which allegedly was weaving into the fog lane. The vehicle was stopped at Sixth and 41st streets. The driver, Lindsey Kaye Bolterman, 20, of Goodview, allegedly showed signs of intoxication and was cited for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content measured at .14 percent. Police also cited her for underaged consumption of alcohol.
Saturday, July 2
•At 9:10 p.m. police on water patrol observed a boat near Dick’s Marina in the main channel without navigation lights on. Officers made contact with the boat operator and had him pull up to shore. Police said he showed signs of intoxication and admitted to drinking. The operator, Kory Daniel Whiting, 34, of Winona, was cited for second degree operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failing to use navigational lights. Police said his blood alcohol content was measured at .21 percent.
•At 10:29 p.m. police observed a vehicle fail to dim its lights on Harbor Drive in Minnesota City. The driver, Kim Lawrence Devorak, 53, of Winona, admitted to having one drink before driving and was cited for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content measured at .13 percent.
Monday, July 4
•At 6:31 p.m. police received a call from a resident on County Road 12 near Houston reporting money taken from her debit card account. The 45-year-old woman told police that a suspect had taken her laptop and debit card, then returned them when she asked. But she later learned that her online accounts were missing $993. Police are investigating.
