Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge will once again offer a special waterfowl hunt for hunters with disabilities on October 15 & 16, 2011.
To participate in this special Refuge hunt, all applicants must have a Wisconsin Class A or C Disabled Hunting Permit, a current Wisconsin issued hunting license, 2011 State & Federal Duck Stamps, and a completed Migratory Bird Hunt application. This hunt is limited to 14 participants. If more than 14 applications are received by the deadline (October 11, 2011), then a random drawing will be held. Those not selected for the weekend hunt may choose from the weekday hunt scheduled for October 18-20 or October 25-27, 2011.
Special hunt applications are available at the Refuge office or may be downloaded on-line at www.fws.gov/midwest/trempealeau. Applications for the special waterfowl hunt must be returned no later than October 11, 2011.
