The Whitewater Joint Powers Board will meet on Thursday, October 13, at 8:30 a.m. in the Whitewater State Park Visitor’s Center, 19041 Hwy 74, Altura.
The Hiawatha Valley Civil War Round Table will hold a joint meeting with the Winona County Historical Society on Thursday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson Street, Winona. Our star will be Patrick Falci of New York, who previously appeared before us as he portrayed the role of Civil War General Jeb Stuart. This time he will be describing many of the humorous and interesting events surrounding the making of the movie “Gettysburg,” in which he played a prominent part.

The Minnesota City Historical Association will meet Saturday, October 15, at the First Baptist Church, 140 Mill Street, Minnesota City. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and is open to the public. The agenda includes the final preparations for the presentation that will be given Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church by Gordon Fredrickson.
