October 24 

The special meeting of the Stockton, Rollingstone, Minnesota City Watershed District will be held Monday, October 24, at 8 p.m. at the Stockton Community Center.

Winona Area Retired Educators Association (WAREA) will meet Monday, October 24, at 8:30 a.m. at the Country Kitchen, Winona. Senator Jeremy Miller will be the featured speaker. Members, spouses and guests are welcome. If not contacted call Jane Habeck at 454-1430 or jhabeck@wildblue.net.

October 25

The Winona Area Crime Stoppers Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, October 25, at Timbers Restaurant in Winona at 8:00 a.m. The meeting is open to the public.

October 26

The regular monthly meeting of the Hiawatha Valley Education District Board of Directors is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Hiawatha Valley Education District, 1401 Bundy Blvd., Winona.

November 3

The monthly meeting of the Hiawatha Valley Marines will be held at the Winona Area Veterans Center at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday November 3. The agenda will include finalization of plans and assignments for the USMC birthday dinner to be held at the Winona Veterans Center on November 10, and the vigil to be held at the Winona Veterans Memorial Park on 11 November. Also to be discussed will be the status of the Toys For Tots collection activities and activities to be completed. All members of the Hiawatha Valley Marines, former US Marines and Corpsmen who served with the USMC are urges to attend.

Cathedral’s Young At Heart group will meet on November 3, starting with a 12:10 p.m. Mass for those who wish to attend. It will be followed by a lunch at 12:45 p.m. of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey dressing, cranberries, buttered carrots, roll, pumpkin pie with Cool Whip and a beverage. The cost of the meal is $3.00. After lunch we will have a time of remembrance for our deceased loved ones. You may speak in honor of your loved one or bring a small item to honor them. Father Cronin will lead us in a short service. Reservations are a MUST and NONE WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE.. The DEADLINE for reservations is November 1. Please call Marge at 454-3433 no later than November 1 for reservations and if you need a ride. All are welcome.

November 9

Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will hold their regular monthly board meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, at the Ag Service Center in Lewiston.

Overeater’s Anonymous meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. at 1717 Service Drive ( Faith Lutheran Church).

Al-Anon Family Group Thursdays, 7-8 p.m., St. Augustine Room, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 360 Main Street. A 12-step fellowship for families of problem drinkers. 452-4445 for more information.

Celebrate Recovery meets Friday nights at Pleasant Valley Church, 1363 Homer Road, Winona. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program. If  you are looking for encouragement, strength and hope in your life please join us. Our evenings begin at 6:00 with dinner followed by worship, large group and small group discussions.
