Wild Edible Foods

7:00 PM, Saturday, June 12

Houston Nature Center

Join European-trained chef Monique Hooker to learn how to make our local wild edible foods really taste great. Monique will help you learn to identify some edible wild plants that are in season, demonstrate cooking techniques, and you'll even get to taste the finished product!

Besides having worked alongside famous east-coast chefs, Monique has also hosted a cooking show and operated a cooking school. She also has written a wonderful book, "Cooking With the Seasons."

A $1 donation is requested to cover the costs of the food. Seating is limited to 40 people, so please call or e-mail the Houston Nature Center to reserve your seat. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to learn to cook wild food with Monique!

The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Hwy. 16 & 76 in Houston in Trailhead Park. For more information and reservations, call 507-896-4668 or e-mail nature@acegroup.cc.
