Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will hold their regular monthly board meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, at the Ag Service Center in Lewiston.
The Whitewater Joint Powers Board will meet on Thursday, November 10, at 8:30 a.m. in the Whitewater State Park Visitor’s Center, 19041 Hwy 74, Altura.
The Hiawatha Valley Civil War Round Table will hold its next meeting on Thursday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m., on the second floor of the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson Street, Winona. The topic for the presentation this evening is “Equipment of the U. S. Civil War Cavalry,” as presented by John Arndt. He will also show some examples of this equipment. All are invited and refreshments will be served.
The November meeting of the Chautauqua Club will be held on Monday, November 14, at noon. The meeting will be hosted by Judy Rusert, co-hosted by Linda Olson, with a program presented by Pat Malotka. Members who can not attend are encouraged to let the hostess know.
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will meet on November 14, for 5:15 p.m. Mass for departed members of the Catholic Daughters. A potluck dinner to follow. Please bring a dish to pass and your table service. Meeting will follow with a Ditty Bag report.
The Stockton, Rollingstone, Minnesota City Watershed District meeting will be held November 14, at 7:00 p.m. at the Stockton Community Center.
Bundles of Love meeting, November 15, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 265 Lafayette, Winona, 6:00-9:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to cut out infant clothing, quilts or knit or crochet. Community service groups are welcome to sign up for a meeting night. Material, yarn and notions are needed to continue our efforts to provide for needy babies in the local area. Harvest House will hold their monthly meeting Wednesday, November 16, at 1:30 in St. Stanislaus Hall. Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. with Father Paul Breza as celebrant, for those wishing to attend. There will be a business meeting. The Winona Apron Group will not be meeting this month or December, but will still be accepting aprons for our December apron sale to be held at the Winona Senior Friendship Center, December 3, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Donated apron sales will be going to the Winona Volunteer Services Food Shelf.
