Monday, December 19

•At 2:18 p.m. police were called to the Family and Children’s Center on Franklin Street on a report of damage to property. A 15-year-old Winona boy was cited for damage to property after he allegedly kicked a hole in a wall.

Wednesday, December 21

•At 11:36 p.m. police received a report from a man working at Taco Bell of an iPod that went missing while he was working several weeks ago.

Thursday, December 22

•At 7:50 a.m. police received a call from an employee at Modern Transport on Front Street reporting a door to one of the buildings had been forced open. Police said there was video showing four people walking in. Nothing was reported missing.

Friday, December 23

•At 5:34 p.m. police were alerted to a hit-and-run in Fountain City, Wis., in which the striking vehicle was registered to a Winona man on the 700 block of Grand Street. An officer searching that area found the vehicle parked and running on Wilson Street near Mill Street. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, it pulled away and fled down down Mill Street and onto Grand Street, then pulled into a driveway. The driver, Daniel Scott Gerson, 30, of Winona, was referred to the county attorney for potential charges of fleeing police in a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content measured at .16 percent.

•At 4:01 p.m. police cited Ian Michael McCaffrey, 21, of Winona, for fifth degree domestic assault causing fear after he allegedly grabbed a woman’s arm and pulled it behind her back.

Saturday, December 24

•At 7:50 a.m. police received a report from a man on Valley Oaks Drive that a Garmen GPS device had been stolen from his vehicle overnight.

Sunday, December 25

•At 6:21 a.m. police observed a vehicle with only its running lights on at Third and Walnut streets. Police stopped the vehicle in the alley and the driver, Jason Richard Oslin, 32, of Winona, initially gave police a false name. Police said a prescription pill fell when he got out of the vehicle. He was arrested on several outstanding warrants and police are investigating whether he had a prescription for the pill found.

Monday, December 26

•At 11:36 p.m. an officer observed three juveniles running from him on the 450 block of Mankato Avenue. A 14-year-old Winona boy was cited for underaged drinking, curfew violation and fleeing police on foot. Another 15-year-old Winona boy was cited for curfew violation and fleeing police on foot. A 13-year-old Winona boy was cited for underaged drinking, curfew violation and fleeing police on foot.

Tuesday, December 27

•At 12:26 a.m. police were called to a loud party on the 350 block of Cummings Street. Jacob Brian Ruppert, 19, of Winona, was cited for hosting a loud party, violating the city’s social host ordinance and underaged drinking. Marissa Ann Przybylski, 18, of Winona, was cited for underaged drinking and taken to detox. Kelsey Joyce Polus, 20, of Winona, was cited for underaged drinking, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
