Monday, January 2

•At 12:35 p.m. police received a report of prescription narcotics stolen from a residence on the 250 block of East Fourth Street.

•At 12:02 p.m. police cited a 14-year-old boy for possession of drug paraphernalia after a pipe was found in his backpack at the Alternative Learning Center.

•At 9:47 a.m. police received a report from Kmart of an employee who had taken $66.78 in goods from the store over several months, including cleaning supplies and laundry detergent. John Henry Davis, 48, of Winona, was referred to the county attorney’s office for potential charges of misdemeanor theft.

Wednesday, January 4

•At 11 a.m. police cited Gregory Timothy Loftus, 31, for a fifth degree controlled substance violation after he was found with two prescription vicoden pills while being brought to the jail for a probation hold.

Thursday, January 5

•At 2:19 a.m. police received a report of a vehicle stolen from the 600 block of East Fourth Street. It was recovered at the St. Charles Boat Landing, with multiple windows broken. Police are investigating.

•At 11;38 a.m. police received a report of a car stereo valued at $95 stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 500 block of East Ninth Street.

Winona County

November 20

•At 3:29 a.m. police stopped a vehicle on Sarnia Street after observing it cross the center line. The driver, Ker Lor, 23, of Winona, allegedly showed signs of intoxication. A urine test later revealed his blood alcohol content at .08 percent, and he was cited for driving while intoxicated.

Thursday, January 5

•At 9:26 p.m. deputies were called to the La Crescent Kwik Trip on a report of a driver who nearly struck a pedestrian and a pillar there. Police stopped the vehicle on Highway 61 near I-90. The driver, Michelle Mae Cleiboer, 24, of Winona, allegedly showed signs of intoxication and was cited for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content measured at .16 percent.

•At 11:58 a.m. police were called to the Utica Community Center on a report of an attempted burglary. Screens were reportedly pried off, the second time in recent months someone has tried to gain entry to the building. Police are investigating.

•At 3:40 p.m. police were called to a residence in Utica on Center Street on a report of guns stolen from a vehicle parked there since January 2. Missing included a Remington 12-gauge shotgun valued at $700 and its nylon gun case valued at $60, a Rutger 7-mm rifle with a scope valued at $1,100 and its case valued at $75, and a bipod in its original packaging valued at $80.

Friday, December 9

•At 3:51 a.m. police were sent to an accident at Highway 248 and County Road 31. A vehicle was in the westbound ditch of County Road 31. Police said the driver, Enrique Fuentes-Lara, 19, of Altura, showed signs of intoxication. A urine test later showed his blood alcohol content at .20 percent, and he was cited for under 21 drinking and driving, underaged consumption of alcohol, driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.
