Sunday, January 22
•At At 1:14 a.m. police responded to a report of stolen money from the office area at Quality Inn located at 956 Mankato Ave. Police investigated the theft at a party going on in the hotel. During the investigation police ticketed a 17-year-old male from Winona and two 16-year-old females from Winona for minor consumption when they had a breath alcohol content of .01 percent, .189 percent and .02 percent, respectively. Police also cited Shane Robert Porter, 17, of Winona, for minor consumption and possession of drug paraphernalia. Porter had a breath alcohol content of .084. The theft is still being investigated.
Thursday, February 2
•At At 12:45 a.m. police responded to a report of a burglary at an address located on the 1200 block of Gilmore Avenue. Residents were not home when the burglar entered the house through a west-facing window. Residents reported disorder in their home and the only thing reported missing was an unwrapped Christmas present.
Friday, February 3
•At 1:55 police ticketed Stefan Floyd Giersdorf, 19, of Esko, Minn., for minor consumption. Giersdorf had a breath alcohol content of .24 percent and was transported to Winona Health for detox.

Thursday, February 2
•At 1:52 a.m. police charged Jennifer Kristine Anderson, 23, of Goodview, Minn., with fourth degree driving while intoxicated when an officer observed Anderson driving over the centerline and taking wide turns. Anderson had a blood alcohol content of .09 percent.
Friday, February 3
•At 2:33 a.m. police observed Mark Elmer Walters, 36, of Minnesota City, Minn., fail to come to a complete stop at the intersection of 32nd St. and Martina Rd. and proceed to cross over the center line of the road. When police stopped Walters, police noticed signs of intoxication. Walters admitted to two drinks earlier in the night. Walters was arrested when he had a breath alcohol content of .08 percent.

Court
Robert Earl Jones, 48, was charged with criminal sexual conduct in the fifth degree when he allegedly assaulted a woman on or around April 5, 2011. The victim reported being sexually assaulted by Jones after smoking marijuana with him at her home in Winona, Minn., after the two had left the Handy Corner Bar together. According to court documents, Jones reported that he never touched the victim and he was only trying to get money back from her that she used to purchase crack cocaine. Court documents state that investigators said that Jones’ story changed over the course of the interview when he admitted to having oral sex with the victim before he left. Court documents state that Jones was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree in Rochester, Minn., in 1994 and was sentenced to 98 months in prison. Jones’ first appearance hearing date is March 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Winona County.
