The Winona County Historical Society is hosting its Annual Museum Open House at the History Center this Sunday from Noon - 4 p.m. Along with a plethora of fun family activities, the Society will welcome some great local entertainment to the Old Armory Stage throughout the afternoon.

Open House Entertainment Schedule:

12: 00 – Nancy Knopp on the Steinway

On the Armory Stage

12:30 – Chris Datta, Banjo

1:15 – Tucker Speltz, vocals

2:00 – Beef Slough Boys

2:45 – Mammals of the Refuge with Ranger Ed Lagace

The Beef Slew Boys play homegrown American roots music, including pan-fried blues, heirloom country and folk classics, and organic originals. They’ve been playing at coffeehouses, restaurants, festivals, and backyard barbecues up and down both sides of the river for the past 8 years.

There will also be Children’s Stories at 1:00, 2:30 and 3:30, Valentine Crafts all afternoon in the Classroom and local clubs and organizations will flood Wanek hall, giving demonstrations and information. New “Arti[fact] Hunts” will be available in the exhibits and the Laird Lucas Library and Archives will be open for exploration.

WCHS members will enjoy 25% off in the Museum Shop and new members who sign up at the Open House will also receive special prices and discounts! A Winona County History Gift Basket will be given away to a lucky winner who signs up for our new e-news email list.

The Winona County History Center is located at 160 Johnson St., downtown Winona, MN. The Open House is FREE and open to the public, it is the Society’s small way of saying Thank You to such a supportive community. Light refreshments will be served.
