•Billie Jolea Giese, 38, of West Salem, Wis., was referred to the County Attorney’s office for theft after she fraudulently accumulated $3,481.55 from Target where she is employed. It was reported that Giese made fictitious returns of old cell phones in exchange for Target gift cards
Tuesday, February 7
•At 6:00 p.m. police cited Cheriel Latara Slane, 25, of Goodview, Minn., for shoplifting when she took a cell phone, a phone card, and Coricidin, valued at $85.97, from Shopko.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
•At 2:00 p.m. police arrested Leah Frances Wilfahrt, 18, of New Ulm, Minn., when she tried to fill a Vicodin prescription for her grandfather at the Hy-Vee pharmacy. It was reported that her grandfather was filling the prescription at the same time at a pharmacy in New Ulm. Wilfahrt’s grandfather told police that he never gave Wilfahrt permission to fill his prescription. Wilfahrt was charged with third degree controlled substance, fifth degree controlled substance and attempt to commit controlled substance crime.
Friday, February 10
•At 1:24 a.m. police cited Nicholas Quintin Barthelme, 23, of Stewartville, Minn., for disorderly conduct after he pounded on the doors and windows of a residence located on the 100 block of East Third Street. Barthelme had a preliminary breath test of .262 percent.

Wednesday, Feb. 8
•At 2:41 p.m. it was reported that a mailbox had been ripped from its post at an address located on County Road 35 in St. Charles, Minn. There were no other damaged mail boxes in the area.
