Army Pvt. Kody A. Julson has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
Julson is the son of Julie Kennedy of Alma.
He is a 2008 graduate of Alma High School.
Sgt. Samuel R. Beyers, Marine Corps Combat Photographer, is currently attending the Newhouse School of Photojournalism at Syracuse University.
Sgt. Beyers is the son of Steve and Missy Beyers and the late Jean Beyers. He is the grandson of Howard and Genevieve Beyers and Robert Cichanowski. He is married to Jordan (Campbell) Beyers and has one son, Nathan.
