At 12:10 p.m. police responded to a report that Ilse Pielmeier, 71, of Winona, drove her car through two garages on Pla-mor Lane, damaging her car as well as another. It was reported that after Pielmeier backed her car out of her driveway and put the vehicle in drive, it accelerated out of control causing her to drive through the two garages. The vehicle was brought to a stop when it ran into a fence. There were no injuries.

At 6:41 p.m. police responded to a report that a microwave, valued at $200, was stolen from a shed located on Cemetery Road in Utica, Minn.

At 4:08 p.m. police arrested Jerry Palmer Brown, 29, of Winona, for fifth degree domestic assault fear and fifth degree domestic assault harm after he threw liquid at his wife, threw food on the floor and hit his wife with a broom during an argument.
Sunday, March 4
At 5:40 p.m. police responded to a report that a 20-year-old female had her iPhone, valued at $500, stolen from Southeast Technical College, located at 1250 Homer Road. She reported leaving the iPhone at her workstation when she left for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. and found it was missing when she returned.
At 11:47 police ticketed Patrick Robert Davis, 24, of Winona, for trespassing after it was reported he refused to leave Steiny’s Bar, located at 501 West Fourth St., and that he had a gun. When officers arrived, they found the gun in Davis’ possession was fake. Davis had a preliminary breath test of .318 percent.
At 1:11 a.m. police arrested Mark Patrick Keenan, 20, of Winona, for third degree driving while intoxicated and possession I.D. of another after police stopped him for driving without his headlights on at Seventh and Winona Streets. Test results showed Keenan had a blood alcohol content of .20 percent.
At 2:32 p.m. police ticketed Ebony Siera Smith, 23, of Winona, for leaving the scene of an accident after she hit a car that was parked in the Dollar Tree parking lot located at 1452 Service Drive.
Sunday, February 26
At 1:38 a.m. police ticketed Patrick Janez Mohar, 20, of St. Paul, Minn., and Holly Michelle Nyquist, 18, of Forest Lake, Minn., for minor consumption after officers witnessed them walking at Eighth and Huff Streets while drinking out of a bottle.
