Rollover injures lone occupant (03/21/2012)

On March 17, the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a traffic crash on U.S. Highway 53 north of Lone Star Road, in the Township of Preston, Trempealeau County. A 2006 Nissan Altima driven by Vincent D. Sturgal, 36, of Ettrick, Wis., was southbound on Highway 53, when it left the roadway and slid sideways into a ditch hill area resulting in a rollover. The vehicle came to rest on the passenger side. Sturgal, who was alone in the vehicle, managed to get out. He was taken to Whitehall Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sturgal was wearing a seatbelt.
