At 7:50 p.m. deputies arrested Richard Roy Bain, 59, of Winona, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated after officers stopped him for failing to stop at a stop sign near County Roads 3 and 12. Bain had a blood alcohol content of .12 percent.
Saturday, March 31
At 2:10 a.m. officers responded to a report that Mary Larsen, 49, of Dakota, hit a vehicle parked in the roadway on County Road 12. It was reported that the parked vehicle was unoccupied and no lights were on. Larsen said she could not see the car before she hit it. The crash damaged the passenger side door of the parked vehicle and sent both vehicles into the ditch. Both cars were towed. There were no injuries.
Thurs., January 19
At 9:56 a.m. Justine Nichole Gahnz, 24, of Winona, and Dana Marie Lorenz, 23, of Cochrane, were referred to the Winona County Attorney’s office for charges of bringing stolen goods into the state, check forgery and theft after they wrote a total of $862 with stolen checks. Lorenz was also referred for liability of crimes of another.
Wed., March 21
At 12:37 p.m. Barbara Eileen Dropps, 51, of Winona, was charged with theft by shoplifting after she attempted to steal from Wal-Mart.
Thursday, March 29
At 1:42 p.m. police responded to a report of a small hole, similar to one made from a BB gun, in the driver side door of a vehicle parked in the 500 block of East Ninth Street.
Saturday, March 31
At 1:33 p.m. police responded to a report of Adam Lee Milkent, 35, of Fountain City, forcefully entered a residence in Garvin Heights and demanded to see his ex-girlfriend who allegedly had some of his personal belongings. It was reported that Milkent never knocked, he just walked right in, shoving the homeowner aside when she tried to stop him. It was reported that Milkent had called 40 times on March 31 and 10 more times on April 1. He is being referred to the Winona County Attorney’s office for domestic assault fear/harm, first degree burglary, disorderly conduct, fifth degree assault, harassment and trespassing.
Sunday, April 1
At 11:56 p.m. police arrested Tyler Jay Eldridge, 23, of Minnesota City for fourth degree driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for speeding near Fifth and Market streets. Eldridge had a blood alcohol content of .10 percent.
At 10:55 p.m. police responded to a report of a window shot out of a vehicle parked at a residence on the 950 block of East Fifth Street.
Monday, April 2
At 6:14 p.m. police responded to a report of a driver’s side window broken overnight out of a car parked on the 200 block of Chatfield Street.
At 5:45 a.m. it was reported that a driver’s side window of a car parked on the 250 block of Chatfield Street was broken overnight.
